About us
On Valentine’s Day 2021 our life’s changed forever when we discovered our beloved Honey, had taken her own life, just 6 weeks before her 16th birthday. I was left to navigate life as a single parent with 2 children whilst mourning the loss of my daughter. Honey suffered from poor mental health for a while and bullying ended her life. I founded this charity to honour my beautiful daughter and keep her memory alive for her younger sisters. We aim to help as many families as we can, to hopefully stop anyone else going through this nightmare. Gemma x

What We Do
Community focused
Bee kind for honey is dedicated to putting our Barnsley community first. Our creative programs are designed for young people, to reduce stress, build confidence and open up communication in a safe and friendly environment. Programs run for 8 weeks where they will enjoy a variety of crafts such as crochet, slime and bath bomb making and many other creative projects.

Parent and guardian support groups
Our parent and carers group offers peer support, sign posting and a safe, relaxed place for care givers to discuss issues and get advice from others in similar situations. We will have guests such as mental health professionals and the relevant authorities to help. So come along, have a coffee and some cake and build your network of support.
